YIN + THE ENERGY BODY
July 12th-14th
This 35-hour course led by Nina and Danielle is for both students and teachers to immerse into the foundations of yin yoga and the energetic effects it has on our body-mind.
We will study this through the teachings of the Indian Yogis, Chinese Daoist and how the yin yoga practice threads the physical and energetic experiences through the connective tissue of the body (fascia).
What you will learn:
• Traditional Yin Yoga Postures
• Anatomy of Fascia + Target Areas of the Postures
• Pranayama for all levels
• Bija sounds + Sound Healing Techniques
• Concentration Techniques to deepen your meditation practice
• Traditional Yogic Philosophy: Koshas, Energy Anatomy of the Chakras, Granthis, Gunas
• Tantric Element System and the 5-phase theory of Chinese Medicine
• The power of savasana + how to guide and hold space for the experience
• How to create yin yoga sequences to balance the physical, mental and emotional bodies
• Effective and gentle hands-on postures adjustments based on the meridians, acupressure points and reiki healing to help gentler and safely release stagnant energy and emotions
There will be 5 hours of Self-study included in the training. Nina and Danielle will provide proper mentorship for both teachers and practitioners. Each attendee will have two mentorship sessions post training to further develop their relationship with the yin practice, whether they are teaching yin to others or for their own practice.
Yin Yoga is an inward practice which allows one the space to be still and observe the inner world. This is Yoga– applying ancient, universal knowledge to our own Self-study and development practice. It is a practice for everyone!
